Well, the ever-famous (and often cursed) groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, has seen his shadow and predicted another 6 weeks of winter. Whether you believe in the legend of the groundhog or not, don’t get stuck in your own Groundhog Day scenario, waking up to the same mess each day. Do something different. Make something happen this month.
Here are a few ideas to get started:
Attend a Webinar
Take to the web to find a webinar that may interest you. Check all of the usual suspects, such as your technology providers and service partners, but also consider branching out to industry publications and associations. It’s great to branch out and learn what others are doing to make their lives easier.
Schedule a Demo
Is there a new feature or module you’ve been considering adding to your technology suite, but haven’t taken the first step, let alone leap. Contact your sales manager to schedule a demo and learn more about the tools available to make your life easier. Tip: Set expectations prior to the demo on what you would like to see, what you are and are not interested in. This will ensure a better use of your time and that you get to see what you want instead of the 1,000 ft view.
Join a User Group – Ever feel like you are stuck in a bubble with only your coworkers to bounce things off of? Do you ever make the time to connect with colleagues outside of your organization? Peer networking events offer a great stage to not only meet professionals in your area, but also to share your challenges and learn what others are doing. Pick Up the Phone
Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Starting the conversation doesn’t obligate you to anything. Find an industry expert willing to talk through your issues and concerns. They just might have some good ideas or advice on the best ways to move forward.
It’s time to step out of your comfort zone and try something new this month. Want to learn more about how JDR can help you? Contact us to schedule your discovery session before March 15, 2023 and receive $10 OFF / hr on your project quote. (Quote valid for 30 days.)
